With less and less kids learning about History, you think the royal family will be supported for much longer?
1) Hitler’s personal aide dies and leaves a memoir to be published. The expectations are high but I doubt there will be a passage saying “then he executed the holocaust because he was bullied by a Jewish kid in High-School”. (Link)
2) In England, like in America, History has disappeared from 1 out of 20 high-schools. This is how we can guarantee a civil/nuclear/ideological war withing the next century. (Link)
3) The Telegraph brings us the 20 worst car commercials of all-time. A wonder we can’t even remember some of these cars. (Link)
4) 25 years of DNA fingerprinting and a race to evaluate every case currently on death row. (Link)
5) The English Royal Family begins selling silverware to pay bills. I can just picture a future carnival attraction where, for 1$, you can throw a ball at a target and make the queen fall into a tank of water. (Link)
ON THIS DAY IN 1983: President Reagan, VP Bush and Gen. Oliver North were exposed to have sold weapons to Iran and then used the money to fund the “contras” of Nicaragua in order to topple a democratically-elected government. This is technically high-treason but no one really remembers… (Link)
AND AS FOR THE LIGHTER SIDE: Cracked.com’s “6 Ancient Sports Too Awesome For The Modern World” – not that it would take much to be more exciting than baseball, soccer and football combined. (Link)
End.
